Visit to Metz

Our walks

First circuit : duration 2h00
We will travel through Metz from Antiquity to the beginning of the twentieth century starting from the Place Saint-Jacques. We will then head to the Place Jean-Paul II from where we will be able to see the Saint-Etienne Cathedral. Then, we will reach the Rue Taison and then the Place Saint-Louis. We will continue our journey to the Governor’s Palace and end our trip in the Imperial Quarter. This tour will give you a first glimpse of the city of Metz through history.

Second circuit: duration 1h30
We will travel through Metz in ancient time starting from the Place Saint-Jacques. We will then head to the Saint-Etienne Cathedral and the Rue Taison. Then, we will go to the Place Sainte-Croix and we will end our tour in front of the Cour d’Or Museum.

Third Circuit : duration 1h30
We will travel through Metz in medieval times, starting from the place where members of the family of Emperor Charlemagne were buried. We will then reach Saint-Etienne Cathedral and then Place Saint-Louis .We will end our visit at Place Coislin.

Fourth circuit : duration 1h30
We will travel through Metz in the modern era starting from the House of the Heads. We will then head to the house where the humanist Rabelais lived. We will reach the Courthouse and we will end our visit at the Place de la Comédie.

Fifth Circuit : duration 1h30
We will travel through Metz in contemporary times, starting from the imperial Quarter in order to have a view of the architecture of the district and its history. We will then cross the New Town retracing its historical and architectural developments.
